Day 180 - Camp Time!

Tyrus is attending camp this week with our church!  He's so excited!

Day 175 - Camp!

Tonight was the last night of Family Camp.  It was a tremendous service and we really enjoyed the awesome presence of the Lord that was there.  It also happens to be my Mother-In-Law's birthday.  Here are the kids smiling with her after service.

The funny thing is, Carsten was standing in here too, but was goofing around and danced right out of the picture!

Day 174 - Red Fish, Blue Fish

Now that school for the year is officially over, I've launched the kids into their Summer Reading program.  (The funny thing is, they don't know this!)  I'm determined that they will read each day of Summer so that their reading skills don't slip.  I've told Alexis a few times to go and read to Carsten...  she thinks it's fun, I know she's practicing!

Day 173 - Squished!

Tyrus asked this afternoon if he could come and sit on my lap.  Now you have to understand - he's a very tall kid.  He always has been!  I realize though, that as he gets older, the times he'll want to sit and cuddle with me will be fewer and farther in between, so I'm going to cherish each minute I get with him!

Day 172 - Before & After

It's amazing how much stuff can land in a kid room.  What a mess.  I'm happy to say though, now it's perfectly clean - trashed picked up, clothes straightened, crayons picked up and corners vacuumed!

Day 171 - Two Lovely Ladies

Carsten has really branched out into the world of color and paper.   He does a great job coloring!

Day 169 - Junior Bible Quizzing State Finals

Today was the day!  We represented our church well and went undefeated in the tournament!  Now, we're allowed to quiz during the National Tournament at the end of the summer!

I'm amazed that I caught this rare moment on camera.  Usually, they can't hardly stand to be next to each other, let alone being kind to one another!

Day 166 - Basketball

Tyrus is playing basketball this week.  The other kids begged to stay and watch, so we hung out this morning with him.  Alexis is in her last week of First Grade schoolwork...

We're making a quick camping stop this weekend to celebrate my aunt's 50th birthday...  Fun times.

Day 160 - Me and the Little Lady

Lex has been begging me for at least two weeks to go out and have a Momma & Daughter Night.  Tonight we were finally able to make it happen.  What could be more fun than a trip to Wal*Mart and then ice cream afterwards?

Day 159 - Summertime Sprinkle

Freshly mowed grass.  Warm breezes.  The sprinkler running.  What could be better?

Day 158 - He Did It!

Ty has been working for quite a few summers now to figure out how to go under the water without a major fit of coughing and gasping!  Alexis hasn't figured it out yet, either.  Well, I put the challenge out there tonight to see who could do it first.  The winner?  Well, they'd get a candy bar.  They both tried and tried and finally, Tyrus did it!  He was SO proud of himself and kept doing it the rest of the time we were at the pool!

Day 157 - Mr. Yoga

Well, I actually forgot to take a picture today, so I'll just use one from last night.  We went out to eat with Dana & Dylan and kept cracking up as he would pull his foot up so high in his chair!  He's got great moves, let me tell you!

Day 156 - Nursery Duty

Tonight was my night in the Church Nursery.  Who couldn't love this job?

Day 155 - God's Sky

As I put the kids to bed tonight, I couldn't help but admire the lovely sunset the Lord painted for us tonight.  Beautiful.

Day 154 - Hungry!

Carsten, my picky eater, has been starving the last few days.  He can't seem to get enough food!  Here's his breakfast today:

Two peices of rasin toast (one with jelly, one with cinnamon and sugar), milk and yogurt!  This may not seem like a lot to the Average Joe, but for my guy, this is a TON!

Day 153 - Trees

My boys descovered a tree they could climb today!  Pretty awesome!
