Day 178 - Long Lake

Since I completely forgot pictures yesterday, I will try to make up for it today!

Tonight, Josh's department had a little picnic at one of the lake's in our area.  One of his friends took us out for a ride in his boat!  How fun was that?

After a spin around the lake, we let the kids play on the beach and in the water.  It was very relaxing just watching them play...

Day 177 - Whoops.

Okay, so this entire day went by and I totally and completely forgot to take a picture!  And, I don't even have a grand excuse like last time when I was super sick with a fever...  Anyone have a picture they took today that I can use?

lol

Day 175 - Whee!

So what happens when you put a kid on a swing and twist it up really tightly and then let it go?
You get one dizzy kid.

Day 174 - It's Late!

Campmeeting has been fantastic this year!  I'm so happy to report that last night, my son Tyrus received the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost, AND tonight, Skylah received it as well!!!  I am so overwhelmed with happiness.  This is something I've been praying for for a long, long time!

After church tonight, like the crazy people we are, we went out to eat!  It was super late and we were trying to keep the kids somewhat entertained (vs. crying!) while we waited for the food to come.  Grandma Lou pulled out her reader glasses and the kids all had a go in them...  :)

Day 173 - Jungle Joe's!

A new family has been coming to our church and we've really bonded with their family.  Tyrus has been begging for their son, Talen, to come over and spend the night.  So, we decided that this was the best time.  Their sweet daughter Skylah came also and so far, we've been having a blast!

Today, I took them to Jungle Joe's bouncy land for a while.  I think they all had a great time!

Day 172 - Giving Honor

It's camp meeting time this week, and we're celebrating 50 years of camp in the Michigan District!  My grandfather helped pour the concrete floors in the tabernacle back in the early '60s and tonight during the service, they had him stand to recognize him.  It was a sweet moment, and I felt very proud to be his granddaughter!

Day 171 - Concentration...

Our annual Family Church Camp started tonight, and like crazy people, we went out to eat afterwards.  It was pretty late, but remarkably, the kids did great!  Thank the Lord for cool places that have crayons and coloring place mats.

Day 170 - Generations

My grandparents are in town and this morning we met them, along with their nephew (who lives in our area) for breakfast. Four generations were present!  It was so fun listening to them talk and remember things from long ago. It was a good time.

Day 169 - Father's Day

We had a pig roast at our church today in honor of Father's Day. It was a very fun and relaxing time!

Here is Josh helping Carsten get some water from the bucket

We rented Sumo Suits - here's Evan with the head and mits on! His mom asked him to make his best sumo face! Classic.
And the sweet little lady.

Day 168 - Grin!

If you don't grin when you see this picture, you don't have a heart.  Seriously!  :)

Day 167 - Garage Sale!

I have to admit it.  I did take a bunch of pictures of the piles of clothes and books and stuff that we had sitting out.
My friend says to me, "you're not taking pictures of the garage sale stuff, are you?!"
And I say back to her, "you know I have a picture blog, right?  I need a picture to document this day!"
At this point, she rolls her eyes.  She obviously thinks I'm nuts! :)

So, I guess, since it would be too boring, I'll just post this picture instead.  I did take this picture today... and who can help but smile when you look at it?  They are just beautiful.  And really, way more interesting than the pile of clothes picture I took earlier, I promise.

Day 166 - Goofing Off!

We ran into some friends of ours today in Walmart.  I'd picked up these little toys off the shelf that make impressions when you press them in (what in the world are they called?  I have no idea.) to keep the kids occupied while I shopped.  Well, we got a little carried away...

Alexis' face!

This is Ty's face impression, but it's harder to see since it was off his face...

And then, Carsten's foot!  Ha!

Fun toys.  But not worth $5 each!  I'm cheap, what I can I say!

Day 165 - Cornerstone

I love my church!  I wouldn't go to a different type of church no matter how much someone paid me!  I love my pastor and his wife and the people.  God has blessed us!

Day 164 - Deedle Deedle Dumpling...

...my son Carsten, went to bed (apparently) with his snow boot on!  One sock off, one sock on, deedle deedle dumpling my son Carsten!

Day 163 - Virtual Velocity

Have I mentioned we own a gaming company...?  Hopefully!  We're just over a year and a half old and are really starting to see some major growth, which is exciting!

Day 162 - Sweet Dom

My nephew had fallen asleep tonight on the pew...  he just looked so peaceful and sweet.

Day 161 - Me and the ones I love

We went tonight to get ice cream in our cute little village (it's not even a town!) and after that, we walked down to the park to let the kids play.  As usual, I figured it was a great time for a photo shoot!  :)

Day 160 - Last Day, Sniff Sniff

Here is Alexis in September on the first day of Kindergarten, and then today, on the last...

And then Tyrus, on his first and last day of 2nd grade...

It's been a great year!  They've grown a lot, and learned new things!  They've also both lost some teeth!  :)  I am feeling a mix of emotions like usual on the first and last day of school.  It's time to say good-bye to somethings and hello to others.  I hope the summer is great.

Day 159 - What a stud

Carsten found Josh's swimming cap.  I think the thing is hysterical, and sort of silly, and when Carsten stuck it on his head today, I couldn't help but take a picture.

Isn't he studly?

Day 158 - Crush It!

So here's what I've been reading....

Wow, what an inspiring book!  Thanks Ron C for the suggestion!

Day 157 - The Three Amigos!

We took a little trip over to our fantastic library today.  It was raining pretty good so all of the little people had on sweatshirts.  Destiny was off in search of her keys, so I was trying to keep the Three Amigos content in the car.  The picture is a bit grainy, but I still love it.
