Day 120 - Young Love

So last night, Carsten discovered a little friend named Ashlynn here at the tournament.  She's three and adorable.  Carsten was very taken with her and they kept waving back and forth to each other.  I wish my pictures would have turned out better!

As we were leaving, I said to Carsten, "Tell me about Ashlynn..."  He says, "Well, I like her, but I don't love her.  I don't want to marry her or anything.  But I do like her!"

Day 118 - Big Turn Over

So we're driving right now to the Junior Bible Quiz tournament.  Josh is listening to the draft and I need SOMETHING to keep me occupied... so, I've been watching my odometer.  It just hit 150k and I took a picture of it.  My husband thinks I'm nuts that I'm entertained by this.  Oh well.

Day 117 - Miscellaneous Post

That's one of the words Tyrus learned how to spell today - miscellaneous.  I'm happy to report that he figured it out!

Day 115 - Easter Loot!

To honor tradition, our kids did an Easter Egg hunt yesterday between services.  Josh's family has always put cash and candy in the eggs, to that's what we did.  The kids made out like bandits!

Day 114 - Easter Sunday

After a lot of rain in our area recently, the Lord granted us a beautiful sun-filled day today to celebrate His ressurection!

Day 113 - Family Day

Today was lovely.  After so much hustle and bustle recently, we decided we just needed a "chill day."  After all five of us exercising together this morning, we decided to stop for dinner tonight at Culver's before heading to the church to clean it.  The kids were sitting together so cutely, I thought it would be a great "photo op."  Here's what resulted...

 

Day 112 - Baking Day!

Today, in honor of Good Friday, we made Ressurection Rolls!  The roll is the "tomb," the butter, cinnamon and sugar are the "spices" used to annoint Jesus' body which is the "marshmallow."  You then roll it all up really tight and bake as directed.  When you're finished the "tomb" will be empty, because the marshmallow sort of melts and absorbs into the cresent roll.  The "tomb" was empty, just like the real one was!  The kids loved this!  (Plus, they were delicious!)

Later, Alexis asked if she could bake something by herself.  So, a box of Jiffy Cornbread mix came out and she got to work.  She did a great job, too!

Day 111 - Easter Eggs

Today we enjoyed lovely weather dying Easter Eggs during our homeschool Connections class.  It was fun!

Day 110 - "D" Storytime

Day 109 - Yikes.

Today was spent unpacking.  No pictures.  Bummer!

Day 107 - Peek-A-Boo

Tyrus and Alexis stayed back with their grandparents while Josh and I drove out here.  Carsten came with us.  I think he's enjoyed having our full attention! 

These pictures aren't so great, but Carsten was enjoying the sheers on the hotel room windows this morning!

We're in Frederick, Maryland this weekend... trying to decide if we're supposed to move here or not.  It is a beautiful city, let me tell you!

Day 100 - Kids Choir

"Every move I make, I make in You, you are my way, Jesus!"  The kids sounded so nice this morning as they sang in the Kid Choir...  I'm a proud mama!

Day 99 - First Place

I was so proud to know that my home state of Colorado took First Place in the Experienced Division of Bible Quizzing!  Congratulations, Landmark 1!

Day 98 - Rally Time!

Tonight, we went to a fabulous youth service here in Moline for the Bible Quizzers.  It was a great time!  Everyone dressed up and looked all fancy-shmancy. 

Tyrus was being a fuss as I tried to get a nice picture of him in his new suit.  The stinker!

Day 97 - Auntie Krystal & Alexis

We are currently in Moline, IL for a Bible Quiz Extravaganza!  My aunt Krystal is here with her team, too!  It's been fun to see them and catch up.

Day 96 - What Could Be Better?

We are at McDonald's and the kids are entertained in the playland.  I have a Sweet Tea the Word of God.  Life is grand!

Day 95 - Don't ask. I don't know.

 Some times things just happen and there is no logical explanation.  Today was one of those days.

Day 91 - A Touch of Spring

There was a hit of spring in the air today.  The kids wanted to head out for a bit and play, and who was I to say no?  I love that it's starting to warm up a bit - you know, like 45ish instead of 25ish!
