Day 333 - Testing

I've been having some health issues, so I finally got my nerve and went to the doctor.  I am now wearing a heart monitor for the next 20 hours.  Fun stuff, let me tell you!

Day 332 - Christmas Tree

I promised the kids that if they worked on their school work and got everything done that this afternoon we could put up the Christmas tree!  Nothing like a little motivation!

Day 331 - Certificate

Alexis and her friend Katie both received their Baptismal Certificate today.  Awesome!

Day 330 - The Men in my Life

Day 329 - Check it out!

Yesterday, Tyrus and Talen spent quite a while building this very cool motorcycle!  They were proud of their work and wanted me to take a picture of it before they "destroyed" it to build an airplane!

Day 328 - Be Thankful

I don't know about you, but I have so very much to be thankful for!  God has been good to me and my family.  I love Thanksgiving more than any other holiday.  It's all about time spent with those you love, and good, good food!  What can be better than that?

Day 327 - Thanksgiving Eve

Tomorrow is the big Turkey Day.  Lots of folks are coming over and tonight, I prepared my favorite Thanksgiving dessert: Chocolate Delight.  My Aunt Krystal always made it when I was growing up and to me, it's not Thanksgiving without it!  Hopefully everyone will enjoy it tomorrow!

Day 326 - My Three Little People

The kids noticed a slew of birds in our backyard today...  They were watching the birds; I was watching them.  :)

Day 324 - A Love Note

Tonight, when I came up to go to bed, this note was laying by my pillow:

Day 323 - Church Time!

Lots of pictures were taken today!  Sundays are always good for photo-ops!

Day 322 - Playing Poker

Now, if you know me well, you know that I love to play cards - just for fun, not for money.  Tonight, we went over to my ILs house to play cards.  They like Euchure, which I say is a very exclusionary game since only 4 people can play.  I don't know if I like Euchure or not because I've never been one of the 4 people playing.  (Wow, I'm really bitter this weekend!)  Tonight, they decided to play Poker instead.  I've never played Poker so I thought I would just watch.  My FIL decided to get out his sunglasses so that he could be more "professional" and I was just cracked up at how silly he looked.  They must have worked though, because he smoked everyone and won!

Day 321 - Stranded

You'd think that since I was stuck at home today (since BOTH of our vehicles are in the shop, errr!) that I would have had plenty of opportunities to take pictures.  Well, I guess that's not the case since I didn't even take one.  Maybe when the cars get out of the shop I'll take a picture of one of them and post it here.

No, I'm not bitter.  Not at all.

Day 320 - Smorgasboard

Well, today I took a lot of pictures.... here's just a few of them!

Carsten wrote his own name today for the first time!  The 'S' and 'T' are hanging lower, but over all, it's still there!

Day 319 - Reindeer Ranch Time

Today, we joined other homeschooling families from our area and went to a very cool Reindeer Ranch!  The kids learned a ton of stuff about reindeer from the Ranch's owner.  (Do you know the difference between an antler and a horn?  OR, did you know that both female and male reindeer have antlers?) 

The kids had a great time!  I however, stood there and froze.  lol  I know, surprise, surprise!

Day 318 - Plant Life Learning, Pt 2

Remember our plant tins from a few days ago?  Well, when you water them and stick them out in the sun and all, they grow!  It's pretty amazing!  The kids are fascinated!

Day 317 - Our Family

Carsten informed me today that he'd drawn a picture of all five of us.  Who do you think each of us are?  Maybe I should ask him.  :)

Day 316 - She's Gorgeous, What Can I Say?

Alexis begged me to buy her this cute shirt the other night from the Second Childhood store.  I have to say now that I'm glad I did.  She looked stunning in it tonight when it was time for church!

Day 315 - Scrapbooking / Stamping / Oh, My!

We'd planned for a few weeks now to use this day to scrapbook and make cards. After a lovely breakfast at Uncle Earnie's the guys took Tyrus to basketball, and us ladies stayed back and played with paper. It was fun.

Day 314 - Story Time

We baked cookies today!  My ILs and Aunt Sherrie came over and we had a great time.  At one point, I saw that Grandpa was reading to Carsten so of course, I had to snap a picture.  I love it.

Day 313 - Veteran's Day

I showed the kids a small video about Veteran's Day and then we talked a lot about what it means to us and our family.  Afterwards, we decided to make American Flags as a craft.  All I have to say is thank the Lord for my scrapbooking star paper punch!  It was a lifesaver!
